I have been muslim for little bit more than 2 years. My name was isabel and still make part of my name. Now i am fatima isabel i have 36 years old i come from portugal were my family were catholic non praticant i am divorce with 3 daughters and i am the only in my family muslim i am self employed as cleaner

I convert with a dream that started 4 years ago. Then 2 later i had a strong feeling while i was passing through a shia mosq was like someone was calling me from there that was reach my heart and invite me to go there

I was living fare from that mosq but that day. I was passing there and i had that call from the heart and I didnt know about islam much and what i knew it was not good but i decided to seach the mosq again after few day i found. And few more days to ask information and then i had the second dream with a lion white and in the dream i wrote allah akbar in arabic and since that moment i knew it that i found what i was looking for a long time and i convert

Before my dreami didnt know how to write arabic i just learn after convert few months

But i pointed in a papper even didnt know what was the meaning

I live in london now and was the islamic centre of england in maida vale

My mom didnt accepted at beginning my daughters felt strange but after a while theysaw that i was not going to change my mind so they learn how to tolerate and accept also i was pacient with them .

They still dont accept islam but we are better as a family now alhamdulillah

At begining was like any other convert was difficult the integration and i was try to learn but nobody to teach me islam until i was invitedtostart hawza and i found a great oportunity for myself learn. About islam in the correct way after 2 years i am loving studing hawza and i am full integrated in the muslim comunity

I become shia because was my heart that choose it like as i said before was like a spiritual call of invitation to islam

U r with hijab as a muslim woman, don't u afraid of islamophobia environment ?

About hijab i start to wear after two months of being muslim at begining i was afraid but now i dont fear is my choice if people dont like is they problem i make my choice is a risk to wear hijab but also are many other things that are risky. No fear of men only fear allah

In this 2 years that u r studying at hawza, what have u learned?

Fatima isabel Fernandes:

I learn logic theology ethics islamic history and laws and more things but the most important i learn how to respect myself also a different view about many things and i improved my akhlaq

I am friend of everyone nobody in special

What's ur wonderful or attracing remembrance of being muslim?

Fatima isabel Fernandes:

I love study they own cultures and behaviour i. Love. The reasoning and logic that only we use worship faith is very beautiful and sometimes make me feel that i am not good enough

Being a muslim is not by name is necessary bigs jihads with ourselfs to be a muslim not only by name but also by actions and heart also the spirituality of each one is very important to a good reflection

Do u have any reminiscences about islam?

Fatima isabel Fernandes:

What i can say is that before people were i was living before didnt like i become muslim at all even i had to get out from the house with insults but i found my own way god had protected me and i found place to live and were i could full practice islam alhamdulillah.

Fatima isabel Fernandes:

Well i trust god and i try to sort it out and living one day at the time

I am not so active in cyberspace i prefer study but sometimes i come to check the news of the world or friends in internet

I dont watch tv maybe once in 2 months i see a program or movie

I read books and i am still reading most related with hawza studies such as theology logic tafsir .... Otherwise books that dont lead me to any knowledge are useless for me just waste of time

No i abopted hijab after 2 month of being muslim and i acept make part of me now

Yes one tip for new muslims is for dont try to please other muslims or cultures just be themselves many muslims lose themselves try to please others that they forget why they come to islam
